The sealing at the lines using gas state matters as fluid is ensured by appropriate type of gaskets, such as, air conditioner o-rings, valve and flange gaskets, natural gas line gaskets etc.
This sealing field has the most risc among other types of fields. Maintaining sealing under hot, cold, pressurized circumstances, and under riscs like fatigue, flammability cannot be assured by using only high quality gasket material, it also requires the ability of precise manufacturing and using correct tolerances. Wrong or inappropriate gasket production methods can cause residual stresses on the gasket material, and sealing cannot be maintained during desired usage period. Also, micro-cracks throughout the gasket contour, damage the sealing material completely in the long run. Reliable sealing cannot be assured with an ordinary gasket material and labor for risky applications such as natural gas lines.
